Free Trees:
The University of California shall permanently protect and preserve the Memorial Oak Grove as a sacred space forever accessible to all people and wildlife.
Free Speech:
The University of California shall not limit or prevent free speech on University-held public property, but rather protect free speech in the manner appropriate for all public property.
Free Protest:
The University of California shall remove all barriers to ground support around the tree-sit at Memorial Oak Grove. These barriers infringe upon the first amendment right to free speech and public assembly on public land held in trust by the University of California. Such barriers block the community from enjoying this beautiful, sacred place and participating in and learning from the protest. The barriers prevent wildlife from accessing this vital habitat and corridor.
The University of California shall drop the civil suit against the tree-sit protesters. The allegations in this suit, if true, are directly caused by barriers around the grove.
Student Input:
The University of California shall prioritize student input in UC decisions, and students shall be involved in decision-making processes.
